Hey Y'all! My name is Tecoria Jones. I am at home in Columbia, South Carolina. The worst thing about me as a Bodywork Specialist is...I love garlic ππ§ I keep plenty of freshining treats that I don't mind sharing! I appreciate a client letting me know I smell like lunchπ β£οΈ
My commitment to bodywork and massage therapy began many years ago at the feet of my diabetic grandmother. By following her instructions to rub her feet and toes, I saw the benefit of massage and recognized the importance of monitoring chronic conditions and even though it was a chore, I found I enjoyed it. Most importantly, I retained a deep understanding of the vital importance of connection and support in wellbeing.
Giving good care requires patience and listening for understanding. I am a Bodywork Specialist, offering licensed massage therapy and certified wellness coach. My technique is a well balance of talent and skill from extensive and ongoing training. My bodywork goal is to connect with the client's body systems as a sensitive, compassionate practitioner with healer's hands.
As a wellness coach, my goal is to be alongside my client as part support, part guide, part educator, by listening to, checking for clarity and uncovering connections as you navigate your path to your goals.
Centering client connection is the foundation of excellent technique and practice. Additionally, the responsibilities of being a health practitioner mean prioritizing continuing education for myself and my clients. I consider client connection and education as central to my service delivery in bodywork and in wellness coaching.
My goal is to be the best resource and support for health and wellness to all who find me and JCBW. As an advocate of the ancient technology of massage and bodywork therapy, I am also committed to talking about and representing health and wellness coaching and licensed massage therapy bodywork as delivery of these services can benefit every body, because the body works 24/7.
Here's a picture of me going double barrel on one- um two π- of my favorite things in moderation- fresh Coke and Sprite from McDonald's. Including owning BodyWorks Technologies, I advocate in food systems, mental health, parental support and wellbeing. I am also involved nationally in parent leadership, elevating the value of proximity, and community centered approaches.
